The countdown is over. The 2019 Maspalomas International Carnaval has already begun and will continue until March 24th. Ten days full of color, music, dancing and, above all, a lot of glitter!
This Thursday, March 14, begins one of the most famous and celebrated carnivals around the world. Thousands of visitors come every year and the southern streets of the island are filled with light and color, giving the city a fantasy experience.

The Carnival of Maspalomas 2019 looks towards the Moon
“Maspamoon” is the slogan the organization has chosen this year, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the First Moon Landing. In fact, the Space Station in Maspalomas, located next to the Lighthouse, played an important role in this pivotal event from our recent history.
The aerospace center was essential in the follow-up missions of the Apollo in the sixties due to its strategic position in the Atlantic, which also coincides in latitude with the launch base of Cape Canaveral.
No expense was spared for the inauguration. Carnaval has a stage of a stratospheric scale in the Yumbo mall.
460 square meters, 100,000 watts of lighting, 40,000 watts of sound, and one hundred square meters of LED screens will kick-off the party and beat the record for the largest celebration that has ever taken place in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Maspalomas International Carnaval Program 2019
One of the characteristics of Maspalomas’ Carnaval is that the party takes place in the streets. However, there is a series of events that are classics at the carnival: the Adult Carnaval Queen Gala, the Kid Carnaval Queen Gala, and the Drag Queen Gala.
The Gala celebration for the election of the Kid Queen will take place on Saturday, March 16th at 7:00 p.m. The Adult Carnaval Queen Gala will take place the next day, Sunday March 17th at 9:00 p.m.
Last but not least, the long awaited Drag Queen Gala will have its pre-selection phase on Tuesday, March 19th at 9:00 pm and the final gala on Thursday, March 21st at the same time.
TVE 2 will broadcast the Queen’s Gala, the Queen’s Children’s Gala, and the Great Parade live in the Canary Islands while the famous Drag Queen Gala will broadcast on the same channel nationwide, and through its International Channel worldwide.

The 25th Anniversary Party of the Annunciation Carriage of the Carnival of Las Palmas
Lacarroza.com will be celebrating its 25th year as the parade announcer of Carnaval Las Palmas at AxelBeach Maspalomas Sky Bar in Maspamoon style.
With the live performance from Aseres, the party will take place in the exterior of the hotel, with palm trees, swimming pool, hot guys, and of course, a good atmosphere.
