2019 could not have started better. So far this year, Axel Hotels has received three awards from different entities and organizations, not only for its work as a hotel chain designed for the LGBTQ + public, but also for the design of its advertising campaigns and even the signage of one of its hotels.

The signage of Axel Hotel Madrid

This prize has not fallen directly into the hands of Axel Hotels, but rather has been given to the El Gallinero Studio team, a creative agency that has been commissioned to design different spaces and elements in the Axel universe, including the signage of Axel Hotel Madrid.

The entity in charge of awarding the prize is Anuaria, who distributes graphic design awards annually. The recognition is attributed to the category “Miscellaneous” and has been the winner for paying homage to the capital and the neighborhood in which the hotel is located.

The project recovers the tile as a signifying element, which forms part of the classic decoration of Madrid and its surrounding buildings, as well as maintaining the aesthetics of the Axel Hotel Madrid.

Award for the Noah’s Ark campaign

The second award received by Axel Hotels has gone to the advertising campaign Noah’s Ark as the best innovative campaign in communication.

This award was presented at the XXXV edition of the Alimara CETT Barcelona Awards (Campus de Turisme, Hosteleria i Gastronomia) in the “Best innovation in communication”. The Alimara awards are very significant in the tourism sector, both nationally and internationally, which is why Axel Hotels team is overjoyed to have received this award.

The idea for the Noah’s Ark campaign came from the creative mind of Kike Doatis. The biblical inspiration for the campaign is based on the story of Noah’s Ark that advocates respect for diversity of any kind and its diffusion within each of the hotels of the Axel Group.
