June is the month that commemorates the 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York City.
This historic event helped propel the fight for LGBTQ+ rights not only in the United States, but also around the world.
As a result, events, parades, celebrations and demonstrations are taking place throughout the month to remember and vindicate that uprising and those who made it possible. As well as to celebrate and make visible the entire LGBTQ+ community.
Pride month or Pride year?
Pride Month is known worldwide as the celebration in June when most cities celebrate their own pride and when companies and brands join the diversity bandwagon.
And at Axel Hotels we live it differently, because it is also our Pride and we celebrate it with joy all year round and guarantee a free, safe and welcoming experience for the whole LGBTQ+ community when they visit our hotels. And because it is always time to celebrate! In April we have witnessed the Miami Pride and the Maspalomas Pride in May in which we participated with our own float.

But Pride month is special and we dress up, decorating our balconies and facades with the inclusive flags, highlighting our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community to give visibility and remind you that at Axel Hotels you can show your true colours 🌈.
